The 3-D formula has extra adhesion properties for items made with resin in a 3-D printer and other thin, fabricated items. Good results can be obtained with Tru-Color's other paints when using their primer.
Some notes about Tru-Color Paint:
Tru-Color Paint is an Acrylic 'hot' paint formula with a combination of Acetone and other media for its base. Ventilation when using this paint is required. The fumes are not as strong as the former Floquil line of paints.
Tru-Color's Thinner and Rejuvenator works for both Airbrush-ready and Paintbrush-ready formulas. The Airbrush-ready paint is thin and it is not recommended for brush painting. The Flat colors (brush-able line) is not recommended for spray painting.
Because the bottles are made of a soft plastic, some solvent may have escaped through evaporation. Fill the bottle with Tru-Color's Thinner or Rejuvenator to just below the bottle's neck and that should be the correct amount of solvent to pigment as originally bottled at the factory. Of course experiment to see what works best for you.
