The presentation is like looking through a book on a computer. The CD-ROM works in PCs (WIN 2000/XP/Vista/7/10) and Macs and is self-starting. The images can be printed out.
While many of the Northern Pacific's depots, freighthouses and roundhouses have disappeared, remnants of that earlier era are still out there. The CD book shows Northern Pacific depots and structures still standing in Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana, Idaho and Washington, along with preserved steam locomotives.
In addition to the 138 photos, there is information on where to find the structures, often with GPS coordinates. The photos were taken in the 2006-2015 time period.
