Photographs from the Collection of the California State Railroad Museum.
This book was originally published by Pine Tree Press in 2002, for a much higher retail price. This older title is offered at a closeout price and is a great value if you would like a brand-new copy. The photographic reproduction is excellent. All of the Pine Tree Press titles were of the highest quality in binding and high-quality paper.
This titles features over 140 of Philip Hasting's most outstanding black and white photos of the Pennsylvania Railroad in action. The photographs are organized into five sections with each section having color maps depicting the territory.
His photos not only capture trains in action but also the people, surrounding buildings and landscape. This is one of the finest B&W photograph books documenting the PRR in its heyday.
