Bob Olmsted is an excellent photographer and this book is a selection of Black-and-White photographs taken during the period of 1958-1969.
There are many 'down on' shots in this book which would help railroad modelers with equipment roof detail. No one Chicago railroad dominates this book. Included are shots taken at or near the major passenger stations plus shots of the South Shore.
Most of the photographs are of the power and trains of Chicago Union Station and LaSalle Street Station.
