Railroads of the Pine Tree State is a color pictorial of the railroads that served the communities and industries of Maine.
The book is laid out geographically by each railroad and covers the time period from early dieselization up to 1982. Although this is primarily a color photo book, as much information as possible has been included in the captions so the reader will be able to learn about the history and operations of each railroad.
Chapters cover the Boston & Maine, Grand Trunk Railway, Maine Central, Bangor & Aroostook, Canadian Pacific and Maine's short lines.
Four Ways West Publications, hardcover, 128 pages, standard portrait book 8 x 10 in., all Color photographs.
