Rio Grande: A Last Look Back 1974-2010.
The independent Rio Grande Railroad, a spirited railroad with incredible pride, managed to cut a fine niche for itself as a regional and bridge route in the transportation market. There's lots of D&RGW action in this book at all the familiar places: Tennessee Pass, the Moffat Route, the Utah desert, Ruby Canyon, and other locations, includes more than a dozen track charts and maps that will bring the Rio Grande to life.
A great deal of change has occurred in Rio Grande territory over the past 36 years. This nice book features the Rio Grande and the changes made to this popular road under Southern Pacific and Union Pacific ownership. All these changes did not go unrecorded, and are nicely covered in this spectacular volume. This book was produced by Richard Farewell.
