Techniques for Making a Museum-quality model.
The second part of the series shows how to convert the Walthers Blast Furnace into specific prototypes, specifically the top works of USS Carrie #7 furnace in Pittsburgh and USS Ensley in Birmingham, Alabama.
Three-pass stoves are made from Walther's stoves and the Walthers Electrostatic Precipitator is highly detailed. Interlake Iron's Zenith Furnace merchant iron blast furnace is also created from scratch using a RIX oil storage tank, including three-pass Whitwell stoves and a Walthers stove. Again the presenter is Jeff Borne.
The DVD has an accompanying CD-ROM with construction instructions on building the models, parts lists for each project in Adobe Acrobat format and 414 still photographs.
