The Broadway Limited was named in reference to the Pennsylvania Railroad's multiple-track right-of-way. Originally named Broad Way Limited, many of the nation's larger newspapers immediately began spelling the train's name Broadway Limited. The Pennsylvania Railroad decided to change to spelling as Broadway had an appeal to the public given the fascination with the movies and stage shows of the era. The book gives a good overview of the history and life of this famous train.
