Fascinating tales of the Boston & Maine, Fore River, Union Freight Line, South Station, Hoot Toot & Whistle, the Flying Scotsman and more.
The Union Freight Line operated at night on what appeared during the day time, to be abandoned streetcar tracks. Shuttling cars between the New Haven Railroad at South Station and the Boston & Maine at North Station, the Union Freight Line operated until 1970 on some terrible street tracks in downtown Boston.
Other stories of the Boston railroad scene are presented from the period of 1957-1977.
