Bill Brennan's inspired photography showcases the EL's commuter service prior to the introductions of the U34CH locomotive and Comet Cars. Included are nice color pictures of Erie's Hoboken terminal including interior photographs and the ferries themselves (including deck photographs). Most photographs show the equipment in E-L colors but a number are of pure Erie including a number of night photographs. Stillwells and RS3's, freight service, branches that haven't run in almost four decades - it's all here in this all- New Jersey book.
